U.S. parent rebrands to Prism. Oravel Stays Ltd., the parent company behind G6 Hospitality and Oyo in the U.S., is rebranding to Prism to reflects the company’s expanded global portfolio. Founded in 2012 by Ritesh Agarwal, Oyo began as a budget travel-tech
brand and has expanded to include hotel brands such as Oyo, Motel 6, Townhouse, Sunday, Palette and Studio 6 in the extended-stay segment. It also operates Belvilla, DanCenter, CheckMyGuest and Studio Prestige in the vacation homes segment. The company
continues its franchise growth initiative with plans to add more than 150 hotels under the Motel 6 and Studio 6 brands in 2025. Oyo has added more than 150 hotels to its U.S. portfolio in the first half of 2025 and plans to add 150 more by the end
of the year.
Sunseeker
rebrands to Hilton’s Curio. The Sunseeker Resort in Charlotte Harbor, Florida, is rebranding to Sunseeker Resort Florida Gulf Coast, Curio Collection by Hilton. Blackstone
acquired the property in July from Allegiant for $200 million and the rebrand was announced when the transaction closed last week. The 785-key hotel also has a new management company, Pyramid Global Hospitality.
Remington grows CALA leadership. Remington Hospitality made two leadership appointments to support the strategic growth of its Caribbean and Latin America (CALA) division. Matthew Grauso joins Remington as vice president of Operations – Caribbean,
while Benito Benitez has been promoted to vice president of Operations – Latin America. Grauso brings nearly three decades of experience in resort and luxury hotel operations, with 23 years dedicated to Hawaii. Benitez, who has been with Remington
since 2019, has supported the company’s growth across Mexico and Latin America. The expanded CALA leadership team will oversee hotel operations, supporting owner objectives, and enhancing Remington’s presence in CALA.
HEI adds
Hyatt Regency Greenwich. Norwalk, Connecticut-based HEI Hotels & Resorts has added the 374-key Hyatt Regency Greenwich to its management portfolio. The hotel recently completed $40 million in renovations and Trinity Investments sold a majority
stake of the property to New York City-based Certares. HEI has a portfolio of over 100 properties it manages.
First Two Sonestas with Aken deal. Newton, Massachusetts-based Sonesta International Hotels Corp. has announced the first two properties under its strategic alliance with Miami-based Aken Hotels
& Resorts. The phase of the relationship includes two hotels in Argentina: the 60-key La Urumpta Hotel & Spa, Aken Mind in Río Cuarto and 70-key Böden Hotel & Spa, Aken Soul in Villa General Belgrano.
Hilton adds in Madrid. Hilton is partnering with Key International to launch a new DoubleTree by Hilton hotel in Madrid, Spain. The hotel is scheduled to open in late 2026 in the city’s Salamanca neighborhood. Madrid-based Panoram Hotel Management will manage
the hotel. Hilton operates 44 hotels in Spain with another 10 properties in the pipeline.
IHG adds
in Vietnam. IHG Hotels & Resorts is expanding its luxury and lifestyle portfolio in Vietnam with the signing of a Vignette Collection property in Ho Chi Minh City. This 52-key hotel, developed in partnership with LCK Hospitality Co., Ltd., a family-owned
business specializing in hospitality development and art dealerships, is set to open later this year. Vignette Collection has 23 hotels in 16 countries, with 38 more in its pipeline.
