Collective Hospitality acquiring Selina assets? Singapore-based Collective Hospitality has reportedly acquired Selina Hospitality, which entered insolvency proceedings earlier this month, according to Globes, which cited insiders familiar with the deal. According to the report, the assets were acquired in a deal signed
last month by court-appointed trustees. In July, the London-based company filed a statement with the Securities Exchange Commission stating the company no longer has any reasonable prospects of avoiding
insolvency. Selina has lost almost all its value since going public in December 2021 with a $1.2 billion valuation and listing on NASDAQ. The Globes report said the acquisition of Selina’s assets fits the expansion strategy for Collective Hospitality,
which mostly operates in Southeast Asia.
New branded residence in Naples. Naples, Florida-based The Ronto Group and Greenwich, Connecticut-based Wheelock Street Capital have secured $234 million in construction financing to build the 42-key Rosewood Residences Naples luxury condo in Naples.
The loan was secured by JLL from affiliates managed by Apollo. The new development will be under the Rosewood Hotels & Resorts brand and is scheduled to open in the third quarter of 2026.
Playa
sells DR resort. Fairfax, Virginia-based Playa Hotels & Resorts has sold the Jewel Palm Beach in Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic to an undisclosed buyer for approximately $68 million. The hotel opened two years ago.
Grand Bahamas
resort will start. The $300 million Six Senses resort in Grand Bahama has received final government approval to start the project, according to developer Marc Weller. The
project is part of a $2.5 billion investment partnership between Bethesda, Maryland-based Mohari Hospitality and Weller Development co-invest up to $2.5 billion in luxury hospitality and mixed-use projects in North America and the Caribbean. The investment
also bolsters Weller’s current investments, including Six Senses Napa and Six Senses Grand Bahama (both scheduled to open in 2026), and will provide a platform for future investments.
Virgin Las Vegas C-PACE financing. Darien, Connecticut-based Nuveen Green Capital has closed $190 in C-PACE financing for the 1,503-key Virgin Hotels Las Vegas. The hotel is owned by Paradise, Nevada-based JC Hospitality, in partnership with Juniper Capital
Partners, Virgin Group, LiUNA Fengate Asset Management, Dream and Orlando Development. The C-PACE financing was used to recapitalize recently completed improvements to the hotel, including HVAC upgrades, LED lighting, window replacement, plumbing,
building control systems, spa and pool improvements and desert landscaping. Nuveen says this is the first C-PACE financed deal in Clark County, the largest in Nevada, and the second largest C-PACE financed deal in the country to date.
Prisa
Group building in San Juan. Puerto Rico-based Prisa Group is developing a new $80 million, 109-key One Distrito hotel concept, set to be located at the Convention Center District in San Juan, which will be part of the Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy
flag. The property is scheduled to open in mid-2027.
Four
Seasons grows branded residential. Four Seasons says 65% of its current hotel and resort
development pipeline at Four Seasons includes a residential component. The
company also said Chris Meredith has joined Four Seasons as its first group head
of residential. Since entering the branded residential market nearly 40 years
ago, the company said it has grown to manage close to 6,000 units across 54
properties in 29 countries. Four Seasons says its branded residential portfolio
is still growing at an exceptional rate, with a projected 100% increase in the
next six years.
B&B
adds in Germany. B&B Hotels has expanded its presence in Germany with the 85-key B&B Hotel Hagen in Hagen, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The hotel is managed by Bucur BUCUR Hotelmanagement GmbH.
Minor
adds in Indonesia. Minor Hotels is opening its second Anantara property in Ubud, Indonesia, with the 85-key Anantara Ubud Bali Resort, which is scheduled to open on October 1. The property also features 15 branded residential units.
Parks
updates status of Hawaii assets. Tysons, Virginia-based Park Hotels & Resorts Inc. said its two Hawaii hotels, the 2,860-key Hilton Hawaiian Village in Honolulu and the 647-key Hilton Waikoloa Village on the Big Island—sustained no material damage
from Hurricane Hone, a Category 1 hurricane that impacted the Hawaiian Islands on Sunday.
