US hotels
down last week. The
U.S. hotel industry from June 29 through July 5 reported negative year-over-year comparisons, according to
CoStar data. Occupancy
was 61.1% (-0.4% YOY), ADR was $156.71 (-0.9% YOY) and RevPAR was $95.80 (-1.3% YOY). Among
the top 25 markets, St. Louis saw the largest increases in occupancy (+27.1% to
64.0%) and RevPAR (+38.4% to $81.19). San Diego posted the only double-digit
jump in ADR (+10.9% to $271.96), while Las Vegas recorded the steepest declines
in each of the three key performance metrics: occupancy (-16.8% to 66.7%), ADR
(-14.3% to $154.16) and RevPAR (-28.7% to $102.75).
$25M loan
in Tennessee. Plano,
Texas-based Milap Hotels has secured a $25.45 million loan for the
development of a 189-key, dual-branded Hampton Inn and Home2 Suites by Hilton
in Antioch, Tennessee. The financing is structured with $15.55 million in
senior debt from Mountain Commerce Bank and $9.9 million in CPACE financing
provided by Nuveen. HKS Real Estate Advisors arranged the loan.
Hilton
adds 8 in Turkey. Hilton has signed eight new hotels in Turkey. Record signings in the first half of
the year include the 36-suite Elika Cave Suites Cappadocia, Curio Collection, Hilton’s
first cave hotel opening in late 2025. The properties will open under a range of brands and include
debuts for Hilton in several new destinations across Türkiye. The hotels
include the Palazzo Donizetti, Tapestry Collection by
Hilton, which will open this fall; the 92-key Hotel Konak Izmir, Tapestry
Collection by Hilton, which is scheduled to open in July 2026; the 153-key
DoubleTree by Hilton Izmir Karsiyaka, which is scheduled to open in July 2026; the
94-key DoubleTree by Hilton Edirne, which is scheduled to open next spring; the
100-key Hilton Garden Inn Mersin Forum, which is scheduled to open in October
2026; the 160-key Hilton Garden Inn Samsun, which is scheduled to open in
December 2027; and the 82-key Hampton by Hilton Mardin Midyat which will open in
January 2027.
Spark
acquires in Detroit. Cleveland-based Spark GHC has acquired the 107-key Residence Inn Detroit Novi
from an institutional seller for an undisclosed amount on June 26. Hunter Hotel
Advisors facilitated the transaction.
ALG adds
Hyatt’s Playa properties. ALG Vacations has integrated 13 Hyatt Inclusive Collection properties
into its booking system, following Hyatt’s recent acquisition of Playa Hotels
& Resorts. The addition includes five newly rebranded properties and eight
existing Hyatt Ziva and Hyatt Zilara resorts across Mexico and the Caribbean.
They include the Hyatt Vivid Playa del Carmen; Sunscape Cancun Resort &
Spa; Hyatt Ziva Cancun; Hyatt Zilara Cancun; Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos; Hyatt
Ziva Puerto Vallarta in Mexico; Secrets La Romana Resort & Spa and Dreams
La Romana Resort & Spa in the Dominican Republic; Dreams Rose Hall Resort
& Spa, Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall and Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall in Jamaica; and the
Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana and Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana in the Dominican Republic.
Curator
adds 6 to collection. Bethesda, Maryland-based Curator Hotel & Resort Collection is adding six
new member properties to its portfolio. These new hotels expand Curator’s
footprint across California, Florida, and Arizona. The hotels include: 11 North
in Jacksonville Beach, Florida; Bellanca Hotel in Avalon, California; Heat
Hotel in Lake Havasu City, Arizona; Tower23 Hotel in San Diego; Padre Hotel in
Bakersfield, California; and Rambler Motel in Chula Vista, California.
Radisson
signs 4 in India. Radisson Hotel Group is partnering with Ahmedabad, India-based Nile Hospitality
to strengthen its presence in India with the signing of four new properties
under the Park Inn & Suites by Radisson brand in Siliguri, Rajkot, Bhuj and
Darbhanga.
