Noble
acquires 10 hotels. Atlanta-based Noble Investment Group has acquired a 10-property portfolio of
upscale select-service and upscale extended-stay hotels from an undisclosed
seller for an undisclosed amount. The portfolio comprises 10 Marriott, Hilton,
and IHG-branded properties spanning the Pacific Northwest, Midwest, Southeast,
and Northeast. Noble said the assets are newer vintage, with an average age of
less than six years, and deliver high in-place current income, premier global
loyalty and distribution platforms, and a basis meaningfully below replacement
cost.
New CEO
for DHM. North Palm
Beach, Florida-based Driftwood Hospitality Management (DHM) has named Gregory
Maliassas as CEO. He has three decades of leadership experience spanning
luxury, full-service and resort properties across four continents and brings
depth of operational expertise to DHM’s 80-hotel portfolio. Maliassas joins DHM
from Playa Hotels & Resorts, where he served as executive vice president
and COO. He has also worked at Accor and Sofitel Hotels & Resorts.
Dallas
still tops pipeline. Dallas continues to lead all U.S. markets with 184 projects/22,861 rooms in its
hotel construction pipeline at the close of the first quarter, according to
Lodging Econometrics. Atlanta is second with 158 projects/17,524 rooms,
followed by Phoenix with 123 projects/16,111 rooms, Nashville with 120
projects/16,740 rooms and Austin with 117 projects/13,850 rooms. Dallas leads
in projects already under construction, with 37 projects and 4,111 rooms, and
also leads in projects scheduled to start within the next 12 months, with 68
projects and 7,909 rooms. It also continues to lead with the largest number of
projects in early planning at 79 projects/10,841 rooms. Houston leads with the
largest number of combined renovation and conversion projects, totaling 35 projects
and 5,336 rooms. In the 2026 forecast for new hotel openings, Phoenix tops the
list with 27 hotels/3,640 rooms. In the 2027 forecast, LE analysts expect
Dallas to lead new hotel openings, with 27 hotels and 2,484 rooms.
G6 adds
Prism executive. Prism, the parent company of G6 Hospitality, OYO US and Belvilla District
6, today announced that Ankit Tandon, global COO of PRISM, will take on the
additional role of vice chairman at G6 Hospitality. Tandon will join the G6
Hospitality board and will spend more time meeting franchise partners and
building a stronger local team to support their success. CEO Sonal Sinha and
the frontline G6 team, along with corporate franchise support, will report
directly to Tandon. In addition, Anuj Ladha has been named national head of
brand performance for G6 Hospitality. In his previous role, Ladha handled the
West region; in this expanded role, he will also oversee the East region. Bhanu
Mahajan has been named head of US and Canada operations for G6. Mahajan will lead
operational support infrastructure across the United States and Canada, with
ownership of the G6 helpdesk, ticketing, and backend issue resolution, ensuring
support teams are properly staffed and responsive. Ankit Lahoti has been named
development, openings & strategy lead for G6. He will lead G6's
development, PIP, and openings function, managing the openings and PIP team
while driving supply growth across the United States.
Resolute
Road names VP. Boise, Idaho-based Resolute Road Hospitality has named Stacie Harper as vice
president of sales. Harper has more than 25 years of senior-level leadership in
hospitality sales and business development and joins from Columbia Hospitality,
where she most recently served as regional vice president of business
development. She has also worked at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, Choice Hotels
International, Red Lion Hotels Corporation, Stay Alfred Travel Apartments, and
The Spokane Club.
First
Hoxton in India. Ennismore is partnering with Accor India and InterGlobe Hotels to sign The
Hoxton, Bengaluru City, marking the brand’s first hotel in India. The 149-key
hotel is scheduled to open in November.
Marriott
adds in Greece. Marriott International is debuting its Luxury Collection on the Greek island of
Rhodes with the opening of the 197-key Amoh, a Luxury Collection Resort,
Rhodes. The hotel is located above the Mediterranean Sea along Kavos Beach in
Pefki, near the ancient town of Lindos.
African
pipeline growth. Africa’s hotel development pipeline has reached a record high of 675 hotels and
123,846 rooms as of early 2026, representing an 18.6% increase year-over-year,
according to the 18th annual Hotel Chain Development Pipelines in Africa report
published by W Hospitality Group. At the heart of this surge is Egypt, with 185
planned hotels and 45,984 rooms, representing 37.1% of the entire African
pipeline. North Africa now commands 50% of all pipeline rooms across the
continent, with its pipeline growing 27% YOY at 284 hotels and 62,630 rooms.
UK hotels trade. London-based Millemont Capital Partners has
acquired the 174-key Crowne Plaza Reading East and the 168-key Crowne Plaza
Marlow in the U.K. from an undisclosed seller for an undisclosed amount,
according to HVS. British operator Troo Hospitality will operate both hotels.
