B&B Hotels France adds managing director. Marine Charles was
named managing director of B&B Hotels France in January. Charles was
previously managing director of manufacturing firm Saint Gobain Weber France.
She held several management positions with the Casino Group, Lapeyre, and the Saint
Gobain Group.
Hyatt restructures in Americas. Hyatt Hotels Corp.
has announced new senior leadership appointments in the Americas region and a
new subregional structure with the U.S. and Canada and Latin America and the
Caribbean led by two newly appointed subregional presidents, respectively:
Susan Santiago and Gabriel Felip, who both report to Pete Sears, group
president, Americas, effective January 2024. In their new roles as president,
Santiago and Felop are responsible for the growth and performance optimization
of Hyatt’s owned and managed portfolio, including Hyatt’s Inclusive Collection.
There are also three newly created roles within the operations, commercial
services and finance functions: Yvette Martinez-Edwards has been promoted to
senior vice president, Field Operations, Luxury & Miraval, reporting to
Santiago; Shyla Gardner re-joins Hyatt as vice president, Commercial Services,
Latin America & the Caribbean, reporting to Asad Ahmed, senior vice
president, Commercial Services, Americas; and Juan Pablo Puerta now serves as
senior vice president, Finance, Latin America & the Caribbean, reporting to
Liz Bauer, senior vice president, Finance, Americas.
Kempinski names two COOs. Geneva,
Switzerland-based Kempinski Hotels has switched roles for two of its chief
operating officers for different regions. Xavier Destribats, who has spent the
past seven years as COO, The Americas will take over the European division as
well as the Americas and become COO, Europe & The Americas. Timur Sentuerk,
who previously oversaw Europe, the Middle East and Africa, will become COO
Middle East & Africa. Destribats joined Kempinski in 2011 after working at
Morgan Stanley Capital and Hyatt Hotels. Sentuerk joined the company in 2022
after working at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group,
Oberoi Hotels and Langham Hospitality Group.
Expedia taps veterans to lead new divisions. Following the news of its CEO transition last week, Expedia Group has named two veterans to lead newly formed divisions. The company has named Alfonso Paredes president of private label solutions and Greg Schulze president of travel partners and media. Paredes has been with Expedia for over 14 years and helped the private label solutions business grow. Schulze has been with Expedia for nearly 20 years.
