names market VP. Marriott International has promoted George Varughese to market vice president
for Malaysia. Varughese has over 35 years of service at Marriott and began his
journey at the Renaissance Vienna Hotel. His career spans four continents,
seven countries, and more than 15 locations.
Numa
Group adds exec. Berlin-based Numa Group has appointed Philipp Morawietz as its new director of
corporate development. This newly established position aligns with the
company’s growth strategy and international expansion, as Numa now operates in
15 European countries. Morawietz brings extensive experience in the hospitality
and technology sectors. Most recently, he served as managing director at
Homelike, a platform specializing in serviced apartment rentals and also worked
at HRS Group.
Peachtree
names new EVP. Atlanta-based Peachtree Group has named Michael Brunner as executive vice
president of credit investments. He has more than 25 years of experience at
top-tier financial institutions, including Atlas SP Partners, where he was
instrumental in the warehouse finance and securitized products business. He has
also worked for Credit Suisse and J.P. Morgan.

Global names new partner. Dubai-based RLA Global has named Ignacio de las Cuevas as a partner. He
has over 20 years of experience in luxury hospitality, destination development,
international cooperation and digital transformation, with expertise in
sustainable tourism strategies and circular economy applications. He was
previously principal at Andart Global in Dubai and also worked for Eurecat’s
Centre of Excellence in Tourism Innovation and Swisscontact.
