New senior director at
JLL. JLL’s Hotels & Hospitality Group announced that Matt
Riley has re-joined JLL as senior director, specializing in hotel investment
sales and advisory. Riley is an experienced hotel real estate professional with
over $2 billion in hotel investment sale and debt placement transaction
experience throughout the United States. Before joining JLL, Riley partnered
with a successful family-owned business in the Los Angeles area to help lead
sales operations while continuing to consult on hotel real estate transactions.
Before this role, he was a vice president at JLL Hotels & Hospitality Group
and spent over six years with the firm.
SVP of Finance at
Langham. Hong Kong-based Langham Hospitality Group
has named Angela Zhou as its new senior vice president of finance. Zhou brings
a wealth of experience and a track record of success in the hospitality
industry through key finance positions at Marriott International, Fairmont
Hotels & Resorts and Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, where she most recently
served as vice president of finance.
New India exec for
Minor. Bangkok, Thailand-based Minor Hotels has
named Rohit Chopra as the area commercial director of India. Chopra is a
seasoned leader in the hospitality industry with over 26 years of experience,
including roles at global hospitality groups Marriott, Hyatt, and Accor. He
most recently was a director of national sales for Indian and South Asia for
Accor.
New CFO at MMI. Ridgeland, Mississippi-based MMI Hospitality
Group has named Doug Heinrich as CFO. Heinrich, who joined MMI in January 2024,
assumed the role of Chief Financial Officer following the retirement of his
predecessor. Since then, he has leveraged his background, which includes
extensive experience in financial planning and analysis from his roles at
Fortune 500 companies such as CSX, Disney, and Yum! Brands.
Rosewood names new
execs. Hong Kong-based Rosewood Hotels &
Resorts has announced four key appointments to its leadership team. Jillian
Katcher joins Rosewood as vice president of operations, Americas. She most
recently served as president of Twin Bridges Hospitality and has a proven track
record of managing diverse portfolios and driving strategic growth. Natacha
Cuvelier joins the brand as vice president of CRM, Global. Leveraging her
extensive experience from her previous role at Accenture Song, Cuvelier will
lead the development and implementation of Rosewood’s global CRM strategy.
Mitchell Laufer has been appointed vice president of legal, Americas, based in
Los Angeles. Laufer brings extensive legal experience from his previous role at
Irongate Group. Jonne Buijtels assumes the role of vice president of legal,
EMEAC, based in Amsterdam. Buijtels joins the Rosewood team from Sonder,
bringing a wealth of experience supporting international expansion and managing
diverse legal challenges.
New VP at Sensei. Santa Monica, California-based wellness brand
Sensei has named Michelle Clapperton as VP of wellness operations. She brings
nearly two decades of experience to the brand. Clapperton has worked for luxury
hospitality and wellness companies such as Six Senses, Shangri-La and Four
Seasons, where she was formerly the executive director of the California Health
& Longevity Institute at the Four Seasons Hotel Westlake.
