New president for Dreamscape. Dallas-based Dreamscape Hospitality has named
Adam Patenaude as its new president. He joins Dreamscape after a 15-year stint
at Aimbridge Hospitality, where he most recently served as senior vice president of operations.
DiamondRock's new execs. Bethesda, Maryland-based REIT DiamondRock
Hospitality Co. promoted Stephen Spierto to chief accounting officer as of
May 15. Spierto joined the company last November and previously served as vice president and corporate controller.
Anika Fischer will join the REIT as senior vice president and general
counsel in June. Fischer will replace William Tennis, who previously
announced his retirement effective June 30. Previously, Fischer was deputy
general counsel at Essex Property Trust and
began Kirkland & Ellis in the Real Estate group.
New
CFO for Hotel Equities. Atlanta-based
Hotel Equities has promoted Eric McCarthy-Zink to CFO. He joined the company in
2021 through Hotel Equities’ strategic partnership with The Hotel Group and was
promoted to oversee hotel accounting for the enterprise. He previously worked
for Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Wyndham Worldwide, and Walt Disney World
Resorts.
Kempinski
names new CEO. Geneva, Switzerland-based Kempinski Hotels has
appointed Barbara Muckermann as CEO. Muckermann previously led Silversea
Cruises (part of Royal Caribbean Group), the world’s largest ultra-luxury and
expedition cruise line. She has over 25 years of hospitality experience with
luxury and travel brands like Loro Piana, MCS Cruises and NCA.
New
exec at Victor Goh. Carolyn Turnbull has been named CEO of Victor
Goh’s hotel and hospitality division in Australia. Turnbull is the former managing director
of Tourism Western Australia and will start the new role on June 4. Turnbull’s
initial focus will be on completing Goh’s Elizabeth Quay projects.
New
CDO for Wyndham. Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has appointed
Amit Sripathi as chief development officer, reporting to the company’s President and CEO Geoff Ballotti. Sripathi will lead Wyndham’s North American
franchise sales team and help hotel owners tap into the system. After a career
that began at Wyndham’s predecessor company, Hospitality Franchise Systems,
Chip Ohlsson, chief development officer, will be leaving the company in June.
