Here’s a roundup of the top hotel executive moves of the past week.
Airbnb adds former Radisson Americas CEO. San Francisco-based Airbnb has named Jim Alderman as
head of residential development. He has 35 years of experience in hospitality
and branded residential real estate and was previously CEO at Radisson Hotel
Group Americas.
Corendon names new exec.
Amsterdam-based Corendon Hotels & Resorts has named Atacan Uslu as managing
director. Uslu has over two decades of experience in the hospitality industry
and a background as a cluster general manager and food and beverage manager at
Corendon.
Dreamscape adds SVP. Dallas-based
Dreamscape Hospitality has named Frank Solano as senior vice president of
revenue management. Solano has over 35 years of extensive experience in the
hospitality industry and was most recently senior vice president of revenue
management for Aimbridge Hospitality. He also worked for Wyndham Hotels for 20
years in various positions.
Fortune Hotels adds executive. Haryana, India-based Fortune Hotels has appointed
Samarth Agarwal as the head of development. Agarwal has over 20 years of
experience in hospitality business development, investments, and consulting. He
has worked at Cushman & Wakefield, InterGlobe Hotels and most recently led
the asset-light growth strategy for Lemon Tree Hotels across India.
Hard Rock names new president for cafe
division. Davie,
Florida-based Hard Rock International has appointed Eric Martino as president
of the Hard Rock Cafe Division, overseeing operations of the company’s nearly
200 eateries around the world. Martino will also oversee Hard Rock’s retail
division globally. Martino has nearly 30 years of hospitality experience in
ownership and management roles, during which time he honed his skills in both
culinary arts and business management. He previously served as president of
MINA Group and was COO at José Andrés Group. He also worked for MStreet
Entertainment Group.
Valle promoted at Playa. Nicolás Valle has been promoted to senior vice president, Development & Investments, at Playa Hotels &
Resort. He was previously vice president of development at Playa, an owner, operator and developer of all-inclusive resorts.
Springboard adds exec.
Los Angeles-based Springboard Hospitality has named John Mootz as its
first-ever corporate director, food and beverage. He has more than 20 years of
executive experience in the hospitality industry, having served as the VP of
operations at Puccini Group and also served in an asset management role for
Colonial Williamsburg’s food & beverage operation.
