Hotel executive moves: First Hospitality, Mandarin Oriental, Spire Hospitality

Here is a compilation of the most important executive moves of the past week in the hotel investment world alphabetically (by company):

First Hospitality COO. Owner-operator First Hospitality, Chicago, has appointed Jason Kreul as chief operating officer. Kreul, who most recently served in numerous executive roles at Highgate, will report to President and CEO David Duncan and will lead the operations, commercial strategy, and the people and talent groups at First Hospitality and play a pivotal role in further expanding their hotel portfolio.

SVP at Mandarin Oriental. Hong Kong-based Mandarin Oriental has named Alex Schellenberger SVP, brand. Schellenberger has over two decades of experience in luxury and, most recently, was the global chief marketing officer for Accor. He previously worked at Procter & Gamble, Coty and Swarovski.  

CIO at Montage. Irvine, California-based Montage International has named Peter Chambers as executive vice president and chief information officer. Chambers has over three decades of experience and was previously CIO for Miami-based SBE. Chambers previously worked at Viceroy Hotel Group, Vail Resorts, Ritz-Carlton and ITT Sheraton/Starwood Hotels & Resorts.

MD for Radisson in South Asia. Radisson Hotel Group has appointed Nikhil Sharma as its new managing director and area senior vice president of South Asia. The region has approximately 165 hotels in operation and development. Sharma joins Radisson from Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, where he was market managing director for Eurasia.

CFO for Spire. Jamelia Lehn has been appointed chief financial officer at Spire Hospitality, Northbrook, Illinois. She will be responsible for financial management and will play a critical role in developing new operating efficiencies, responding to owner and investor needs, maximizing results, and supporting new business development and company growth. Lehn brings over two decades of leadership experience in real estate accounting and property management. Most recently, Lehn served as the CFO for Roots Management Group.

CFO for Vision Hospitality. Chattanooga, Tennessee-based Vision Hospitality Group named Mason Thornburg as its new CFO. Thornburg has more than two decades of experience in finance and operations. With a distinguished career spanning over two decades in finance and operations, Thornburg brings a wealth of expertise to lead Vision's financial and strategic initiatives.
