New CEO
for Aspen Hospitality. Aspen, Colorado-based Aspen One, the parent company of Aspen
Hospitality, Aspen Skiing Co., and Aspen Ventures, has named Jeff Toscano
as CEO of Aspen Hospitality. Toscano has three decades of experience in the
luxury lifestyle market and will join the team in a transition from current
leader Alinio Azevedo starting on September 16. Most recently, he served as
executive vice president of luxury and lifestyle hotels at Highgate. He has
held executive roles at Hyatt, Davidson Hotels & Resorts, Two Roads Hospitality,
Denihan Hospitality Group, and Starwood Hotels & Resorts.
New Four
Seasons branded residential exec. Four Seasons has hired Chris Meredith as its first group
head of residential. Meredith joins Four Seasons with more than 20 years of
experience within the global real estate investment and development industry,
specifically across the luxury hospitality, multifamily and mixed-use
development sectors. Since 2018, he has been a partner and development director
for MAHAMAN, a hospitality-based real estate investment and development firm
specializing in acquiring and developing luxury hotels and branded residential
real estate. He also worked for Interwest Capital, Portfolio International
Holdings Ltd., CITTA Property Group and CBRE.
MGM
appoints Barr to board. Las Vegas-based MGM Resorts International has named Keith Barr, former
IHG Hotels & Resorts CEO, to its board of directors. Barr served as CEO of
IHG from 2017 to 2023 and stepped down last May. He held multiple roles for
IHG, including chief commercial officer, CEO of Greater China, COO of Australia
and New Zealand and multiple roles in the Americas.
New execs
at Twenty Four Seven. Newport Beach, California-based Twenty Four Seven Hotels, a third-party
hospitality management company has named Brian Hughes as executive vice
president of business development and promoted Damien Abrams to vice president
of lifestyle brands. Hughes has nearly 30 years of hospitality experience and
most recently served as managing director of JLL, where he was responsible for
hospitality transactions throughout Texas. Hughes also previously worked for
Ashford Hospitality Inc. Abrams is a 20-year hospitality veteran and joined
Twenty Four Seven as general manager to open The Steward, a Tribute Portfolio
Hotel in Santa Barbara, California. Prior to this promotion, he served
as regional director of operations for the company.
