Hotel executive moves: Arlo, Kolpin, L+R Hotels, Palette

Here is a compilation of the most important executive moves of the past week in the hotel investment world alphabetically (by company):

New president at Arlo. New York City-based lifestyle hotel company Arlo Hotels has announced the immediate promotion of Jimmy Suh to president across all seven properties, filling a position that has been vacant for three to four years. Suh steps into this position with over 20 years of leadership experience at the likes of Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, Loews Hotels, and Standard International, where he developed brand marketing, revenue, and guest experience strategies. In July 2021, Suh joined Arlo Hotels as its chief commercial officer, responsible for revenue maximization, profitability, marketing, brand value, public relations and stakeholders’ returns.

Colliers names Netherland CEO. Colliers has named Jeroen Lokerse as CEO of the Netherlands. Lokerse joins Colliers from a 17-year tenure at Cushman & Wakefield, most recently holding a global product innovation role and previously serving as the head of the Netherlands for more than a decade. As Lokerse steps into the CEO Netherlands role, Dirk Bakker will lead the European team of hotel specialists as the head of hotels, EMEA. Lokerse will join Colliers in January 2025 and Bakker’s new role will also start in the new year.

New CIO at DoveHill. Fort Lauderdale, Florida-based DoveHill has appointed Charles Paloux as its new chief investment officer. He has over 20 years of experience in hospitality and real estate. Paloux joined DoveHill in 2021 and before served as senior vice president of asset management at JLL. He also worked at Hersha Hospitality Trust, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Accor UK.

First Group names new SVP. The First Group Hospitality, a subsidiary of Dubai-based The First Group, has appointed Tom Stevens as senior vice president of hotel operations. He has over three decades of experience in the hospitality sector and was previously vice president of operations at Rotana Hotels & Resorts.

Kolpin names CCO. Copenhagen-based Kolpin Hotels has named Bo Nylandsted Larsen the newly created chief commercial officer position. He has over 20 years of commercial leadership experience in the global marketplace, starting his career at Scandinavian Airlines before joining Cruise Baltic and Cruise Copenhagen.

New CCO for L+R Hotels. London-based L+R Hotels has named Joe Pettigrew as group chief commercial officer, effective November 18. Pettigrew has over 20 years of hotel experience and was most recently chief commercial officer for EOS Hospitality. He also worked for Starwood Capital Group, Expedia, Shorerock Group and the Palms Casino in Las Vegas.

CEO for Montigo Resorts. Singapore-based KOP Ltd. has named Dalip Singh the CEO of its hospitality arm, Montigo Resorts, as it looks to continue its international expansion. He was most recently general manager for Pan Pacific Hotels Group and also worked for Marco Polo Hotels, KOP Properties, KOP Hospitality and as a GM at several properties in the Middle East and Asia Pacific.

New VP at Palette Hotels. New York City-based management company Palette Hotels has named Greg Presnol as vice president of operations. He most recently served as vice president of operations at Aimbridge Hospitality and has also worked for First Hospitality Group, Turnberry Associates, Dimension Development, Island Hospitality Management and White Lodging Services.

Rentyl Resorts names new EVP. Kissimmee, Florida-based Rentyl Resorts has appointed Michael Trampas as executive vice president of business development and marketing. Trampas was previously executive vice president of Sobel Westex and has also been a senior executive with JCPenney, VCNY Home, Louis Hornick and Co., and CHF Industries.
