Executive moves: Aimbridge, Marriott, Ohana, Peachtree

Here is a compilation of the most important executive moves of the past week in the hotel investment world alphabetically (by company):

Aimbridge names new president of full-service division. Aimbridge Hospitality has named Christopher Tatum as the new divisional president of its full-service division. Tatum has four decades of experience, mostly with Marriott International. After departing Marriott after 37 years, Tatum served as the president and CEO of the Hawaii Tourism Authority. Most recently, Tatum managed a portfolio of hotels at Davidson Hospitality.

Marriott names new leaders in CALA, APAC. Marriott International has named Federico Greppi as COO for the Caribbean and Latin America, and Jason Nuell as area vice president of Australia, New Zealand & Pacific. Greppi was most recently CFO and head of franchise operations and owner relations for Marriott in the Caribbean and Latin America. He has over two decades of experience, has held positions with Marriott, and was a consultant at Andersen. Nuell takes the position following the retirement of Sean Hunt. He joined Marriott in 2003 as the director of food and beverage at the Surfer’s Paradise Marriott Resort. His career with Marriott International has included senior leadership roles across Southeast Asia, China, India, the U.S. and Europe. Most recently, Nuell was vice president of customer experience and F&B design services of APEC.

Mohegan names COO. Uncasville, Connecticut-based Mohegan announced that Joseph Hasson has been named COO, a position he has had on an interim basis since April. Hasson will oversee the day-to-day operations of Mohegan’s resorts across the U.S., Canada and Northern Asia. He will also maintain his responsibilities as general manager of Mohegan Casino at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas while the casino transitions ownership. Before joining Mohegan, Hasson was COO of Station Casinos and Red Rock Resorts.

Ohana names new head of credit. Austin-based Ohana Real Estate Investors has appointed Kevin Cullinan as partner and head of credit. He has over 15 years of investment, credit strategy, and commercial real estate experience and previously served as managing director and co-head of credit strategies at Mack Real Estate Group.

Orascom names new chief revenue officer. Paula Frey has been named chief revenue officer at Egypt-based Orascom Hotels Management. She was previously a consultant and group director of hotel revenue at Corinthia Hotels Ltd. and worked for The Dorchester and Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group. 

Peachtree names president. Atlanta-based Peachtree Group has promoted Vickie Callahan president of the firm’s hospitality management division. In her new role, Callahan will oversee the company’s portfolio of owned and third-party managed hotels. Callahan was most recently senior vice president of revenue generation for Peachtree and is a 25-plus-year hospitality veteran. She previously worked at Atrium Hospitality and JQH Hotels.

Trinity adds to LA office. Honolulu-based Trinity Investments has added to its investments team in Los Angeles by naming Luke Toland as managing director and head of Trinity’s newly formed debt platform and Stephany Chen as senior vice president of acquisitions. Toland joined Trinity from BofA Securities, where he was a managing director of the real estate, gaming, and lodging investment banking group. He has over 12 years of public and private transaction experience. Chen was previously the U.S. lead for JLL’s Hotels and Hospitality Group’s Global Hotels Desk. He has 15 years of experience in the hospitality real estate sector.
