Chief legal officer rejoins
Aimbridge. Aimbridge
Hospitality, Plano, Texas, has named Greg Moundas as chief legal officer, reassuming the role
after a short time away from the organization. Moundas first joined Aimbridge
in 2011, holding legal positions of escalating responsibility and serving as general counsel/chief legal officer for over a decade before he departed for a
chief growth officer and partner role with Mayfair Management Group.
Colliers adds new EVP. Colliers has hired Bradley Burwell as an
executive vice president to join the firm’s hospitality practice group. Before
joining Colliers, Burwell led CBRE’s New York hotels team and previously worked
with PricewaterhouseCoopers.
New VP at First Hospitality. First Hospitality, Chicago, has appointed Nadia Panasyuk
as vice president of revenue strategy. Panasyuk has more than 20 years of
hospitality experience and was most recently regional director of revenue
management for Pivot Lifestyle Hotels by Davidson Hospitality Group. She also
held leadership positions at Marriott International, Westin Chicago River
North, The Gwen (Chicago), W Atlanta-Buckhead, and the Westin Galleria and
Westin Oaks (Houston).
Hyatt names new head of labor
relations. Hyatt Hotels Corp., Chicago, has
named Michael D’Angelo head of labor relations — Americas. D’Angelo has been
with Hyatt for over 10 years and was most recently vice president of labor
relations. In his new role, D’Angelo will continue to serve as the primary
spokesperson and negotiations team leader during labor negotiations and as a
liaison for Hyatt.
New exec for Miravel. Hyatt's Miraval Resorts & Spas has appointed Susie
Klein as its first-ever director of business development. Klein has more than
three decades of experience and previously worked for Hilton and Four Seasons
Hotels and Resorts.
New COO at MDM Hotel Group. Florencia Tabeni has been named chief
operations officer at MDM Hotel Group, Miami. Tabeni was most recently vice president of hotel
operations and development for MDM. In her expanded role, she will oversee all
aspects of sales and marketing, revenue management and human resources. She is
a 30-year industry veteran.
New COO for New Castle Hotels. Tom Nolan has been named COO at New Castle
Hotels & Resorts, Ridgefield, Connecticut. Nolan is a 30-plus-year industry veteran who most
recently was the managing director of Hyatt Hotels Wild Dunes Resort in Isle of
Palms, South Carolina. He previously worked at Marriott, Interstate Hotels
& Resorts and Meyer Jabara Hotels.
New president, COO at Red Roof. Red Roof, New Albany, Ohio, has named Zack Gharib as its new
president. Gharib brings over two decades of senior management experience in
franchising, operations and brand management with companies such as Marriott,
Vacasa, LaQuinta by Wyndham and Highgate Homes. He replaces George Limbert, who
left the company last June. Red Roof also announced the promotion of Fouad
Malouf to the newly created position of chief operating officer. He joined the
company in 1982 and most recently served as senior vice president for franchise operations.
Shangri-La new MEIA leadership. Shangri-La Group, Hong Kong, has appointed Kieran Twomey
as the new regional head of operations for the Middle East, India, Indian
Ocean, Europe, and the Americas (MEIA). Twomey has worked for Shangri-La
for 25 years and has held various leadership in China, the Philippines,
Malaysia and Thailand.
New CCO for Trilogy Hotels. Shaizeen Contractor has been appointed chief
commercial officer at Trilogy Hotels, Sydney. Contractor was previously senior
commercial director of Australasia at Hilton Hotels and also worked for TFE
Hotels and Highgate Hotels.
