Executive moves: Concord, Dreamscape, KSL, Stonebridge

Here is a compilation of the most important executive moves of the past week in the hotel investment world alphabetically (by company):

New board member for Bob W. Helsinki, Finland-based Bob W has appointed Philip Ward, former CEO of JLL’s Hotels & Hospitality Group for the EMEA region, as an independent non-executive director to its board. Ward brings a 35-year track record in hospitality and real estate. He also worked for Brookfield Financial Corp., KSL Capital Partners and Rothschild & Co.

New CEO at Chedi Hospitality. Stephan Schupbach has been appointed CEO at Singapore-based Chedi Hospitality, bringing nearly four decades of leadership experience across both the owning and operator sides of the luxury hospitality industry.

Concord names regional VP. Raleigh, North Carolina-based Concord Hospitality has promoted Dannialle Neville to regional vice president of operations. A 13-year Concord veteran, Neville has three decades of experience across multiple disciplines, including sales, operations, and food and beverage.

Dreamscape names new VP. Dallas-based Dreamscape Hospitality has named Christy Jernigan as vice president of feasibility. She has over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry and was most recently chief development officer at Brittain Resorts & Hotels. She also spent 17 years with Aimbridge Hospitality in various capacities.

Fusion names new regional director. Vietnam-based Fusion Hotel Group has promoted Markus Gloor, a Swiss national with three decades of experience in the hospitality sector in Switzerland and Thailand, to the regional director effective February 1. Gloor was previously the director of operations in Thailand. He joined Glon Hotels & Resorts in 2014 and helped establish and grow the brand until its merger with Fusion in 2021.

KSL adds 3 senior advisors. Denver-based KSL Capital Partners has named Tim Dattels, Alex Dichter and Ted Seides as senior advisors. Dattels is a private equity executive with significant experience investing in markets across the APAC region. He retired from TPG at the end of 2023 and now serves as a senior advisor to the firm. Previously, he was a partner and chairman of TPG Asia and also worked at Goldman Sachs & Co. Dichter brings decades of experience supporting companies in the global Travel & Leisure sector. He most recently served as a senior partner with McKinsey and Co., where he led the firm’s global Air and Travel practice for more than 20 years. Seides is the founder of Capital Allocators, a platform that includes podcasts, gatherings, education, and advisory.

CEO for Lily Hotels returns. Maldives-based Lily Hotels has named Michael Wieser as CEO. Wieser previously served as CEO of Lily Hotels before COVID and has 35 years of experience in international hospitality. Wieser will be overseeing the development and growth of the two resorts under the Lily portfolio.

Millennium names new VP. Singapore and London-based Millennium Hotels and Resorts has appointed Melanie Beattie as its vice president of sales and partnerships for New Zealand. Before joining Millennium, Beattie was head of distribution at Fidelity Life Assurance Co. Ltd. Her career includes senior roles at ASB Bank, Ernst & Young and IBM.

Stonebridge names VP of sales. Denver-based hotel management company Stonebridge has named David Wahba as vice president of sales – luxury, lifestyle, and resort. Wahba has over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry and previously held senior leadership positions in luxury, lifestyle, and resort properties across the industry, including at Waldorf Astoria, Hilton, Wyndham, Walt Disney and Westin properties.
