Iconic Aspen ski resort will bring its experiential brand to Rockefeller Center by 2026.
NEW YORK CITY -- Years in the making, the owners of Rockefeller Center in New
York City, the Chicago-based Crown Family and New York-based Tishman Speyer,
have reached a deal with Aspen Hospitality to acquire and open
in 2026 a 130-room Little Nell Hotel on 10 floors of vacant office space above
NBC ‘Today’ studios. The terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
With a restaurant and rooftop bar, this will be the second
Little Nell, following the iconic flagship in Aspen, Colorado.
A representative told Hotel Investment Today that Aspen
Hospitality has planned for years to bring the Little Nell to Rockefeller
Center. It is also worthy of note that Aspen Hospitality is controlled by the
Chicago-based Crown family.
When asked how the Little Nell brand will play in New York City, a spokesperson for Aspen Hospitality said, “The through line is quality. We aim to bring the same
best-in-class Little Nell experience people know and love to the heart of New
York City.”
