NATIONAL REPORT - A new industry event that connects the design and investment
communities will launch adjacent to ALIS this month. ALIS DESIGN+ starts on
January 24 just before ALIS concludes at the JW Marriott at LA Live and will dig
deeper into the earlier phases of hotel projects and focus on how to deliver
more ROI.
The event, led by hospitality design industry leaders
Michelle Finn, The BHN Group's vice president, Design & Construction,
Products and Services, and Mary Scoviak, custom and design content
director, will emphasize connecting investors and the design community to
drive innovation and profitability. To register, click here.
This new conference and trade fair will feature
distinguished thought leaders from hotel ownership, investment, development,
design, procurement, construction, architecture, and consultancy coming
together for a discussion on the industry’s future. Attendees, speakers, and
moderators will engage in forward-looking conversations, diving into best
practices and pioneering solutions that elevate creativity, ingenuity, and
financial success.
The event is already attracting leaders like Marriott
International CEO Anthony Capuano, who will give the c-suite perspective on the
value of design in the race for ROI, delving into the business-building upside
of architecture, design, and construction.
Industry leaders such as Maki Bara of Chartres Lodging Group
and Outrigger Hospitality Group President and CEO Jeff Wagoner will share their
playbooks for how to put architecture and design to work to grow market share,
maximize ADR, and monetize every square inch of hotels’ interior and exterior
real estate.
Other presenters include design and construction executives
from the likes of Ennismore, IHG Hotels & Resorts and Virgin Hotels, as
well as Davidson Hospitality and Sonesta International Hotels Group, who will
discuss topics ranging from how to succeed with renovations, repositionings or
conversions, to brand extensions and red-hot outdoor spaces. Development and
investors adding perspective to conversations will come from Starwood Capital,
Canyon Equity, Highgate, Accor and others.
From PIPs to prototypes, find out from the forward-thinkers
who are literally writing the (brand) book for everything from luxury concepts
and brand extensions to what owners and designers can expect from next-level
standards and storytelling for a new generation.
There will be “best practice playbook” sessions for
architecture construction, purchasing, and technology with tips on to cut
through red tape, improve team communication, and protect project capital in
the here and now. Learn how to capitalize on breakthroughs in materials and
technology that will revolutionize development, architecture and construction.
There will also be a session entitled “Game-ChangeRs+: Women
Executives Strategize the Future of Hospitality” with Maud Bailey, who is CEO
