Nobu adds
in Nashville. Miami
Beach, Florida-based Nobu Hospitality is planning the 120-key Nobu Hotel and
Restaurant Nashville, which will be located in the city’s East Bank district.
The property will be part of the Oracle campus development, expanding the
brand’s presence within one of Nashville’s growing neighborhoods. It will
include a Nobu restaurant on the lobby level, meeting and event spaces, a lobby
café, a fitness center and spa, and an infinity-edged rooftop pool offering
views of the Nashville skyline. The rooftop space will serve as a social area
with food and beverage service.
New TPG president. TPG Hotels & Resorts has
appointed Patrick Short as president and chief operating officer working out of
the Dallas office. He will provide cross-discipline leadership and operational
direction for the management company. He returns to TPG, where he previously
served as vice president of operations earlier. He was most recently president
at Peachtree Hospitality Management.
Atlanta
convention hotel rebranding. A pair of New York City-based companies, Axonic Capital
and Monomoy Property Ventures, have secured a $67.5 million loan for the
acquisition of a 462-key Crowne Plaza by IHG hotel at the convention center in
Atlanta. Once acquired, the hotel will be renovated and rebranded as the
Marriott Atlanta. The renovation will feature 360 standard rooms, 102 suites
and 35,000 sq. ft. of meeting and convention space. The property will become
the only core-branded Marriott in Atlanta’s central business district. New York
City-based University Place Asset Management provided the loan.
Hilton
adds in Savannah. Hilton
is partnering with the Savannah-Georgia Convention Center Authority (SGCCA)and
has broken ground on the 444-key Signia by Hilton Savannah, which is
scheduled to debut in mid-2028. Owned by SGCCA and developed in partnership
with the Georgia World Congress Center Authority, which also manages the
Savannah Convention Center, the hotel will serve as the Savannah Convention
Center’s headquarters hotel and will be managed by Hilton. Following the
2024 opening of Signia by Hilton Atlanta, Signia by Hilton Savannah
builds on the brand’s expansion in Georgia.
Outbound
adds in Sedona. Chicago-based Outbound Hotels is opening the Outbound Sedona in the second
quarter of 2026. The news comes alongside an expanded strategic partnership
with Englewood, Colorado-based CoralTree Hospitality, which now manages
Outbound’s existing properties, including The Virginian Lodge in Jackson Hole,
Wyoming. The 138-key Outbound Sedona is located just minutes from Uptown
Sedona.
Motel One
acquires in Germany. Munich, Germany-based Motel One is continuing its European expansion with the
acquisition of seven hotels currently operated under the Flemings brand in
Germany and Austria. The properties are located in central areas of Munich,
Frankfurt, Bremen and Vienna and the move is part of the group’s plan to expand
its international presence, which is supported by its new majority shareholder,
France-based PAI Partners. The acquired hotels will undergo renovations and
redesigns before reopening in 2026 under the Motel One and The Cloud One Hotels
brands.
Pandox
receives EU approval for Dalata acquisition. Stockholm, Sweden-based Pandox AB has received EU
Commission clearance for its acquisition of Dalata Hotel Group, marking a
significant milestone towards completing the transaction. The acquisition,
facilitated through a court-sanctioned scheme, is expected to close by early
November 2025, pending final court approval.
Hilton
adds in Vietnam. Hilton announced multiple property agreements across Vietnam with its existing
partner, Chennai, India-based Sun Group, to bring the Conrad Hotels &
Resorts, LXR Hotels & Resorts, and DoubleTree by Hilton brands to Vietnam,
while expanding the presence of Hilton’s flagship brand, Hilton Hotels &
Resorts, in the country. The five new properties will span the north, central
and south of Vietnam. LXR will make its brand debut in Vietnam with an 80-key
retreat along the Da Nang Riverside. Conrad Phu Quoc, Hilton Phu Quoc, and
DoubleTree by Hilton Phu Quoc will be located in a major hospitality and event
precinct being developed for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC)
Economic Leaders’ Meeting in 2027. The 216-key Hilton Quang Hanh Onsen Resort
is expected to open before the end of 2025. Vietnam currently holds Hilton’s
third-largest portfolio in Southeast Asia with 21 trading hotels.
Meliá
adds Messi hotels in Spain. Meliá Hotels International will take over management of the six MiM
Hotels owned by international soccer legend Leo Messi starting November 1,
under an agreement that integrates the properties into the company’s luxury
brand, The Meliá Collection. The deal places the MiM Hotels portfolio within a
curated collection of independent high-end properties operated by Meliá on a
lease basis. The MiM properties — located in destinations such as Ibiza,
Sitges, Mallorca, Andorra, Baqueira Beret, and Sotogrande — will retain their
design and identity.
