Hilton grows resort portfolio in Europe. Hilton is expanding
its resort portfolio in Europe (Italy, Greece, Croatia and Malta) with 10
hotels opening this summer across its soft brands and DoubleTree by Hilton
brand in. Hilton also announced franchise agreements this week for four hotels:
Hilton Alvor in Portugal’s Algarve with the Mercan Group; two hotels in Ibiza
under its Curio Collection by Hilton brand with Hotel Investment Partners; and
a Curio Collection on Crete with Numo Hospitality. In the last year alone,
Hilton signed more than 20 resort hotels across Europe, Middle East and Africa as
part of a strategy to develop its portfolio of resort hotels, which has doubled
in the last five years and now stands at more than 300 hotels worldwide.
Jingle mail in SF. DiNapoli Capital Partners has turned over
the 248-room Kimpton Alton Fisherman’s Wharf hotel in San Francisco to the
lender, according to multiple reports. The lender, a Minneapolis-based
affiliate of AB CarVal Investors, along with Ramsfield Hospitality Finance,
provided an $85 million loan in March 2022. Just over $88.1 million was due,
according to a deed in lieu of foreclosure filed in San Francisco. The DiNapoli
acquired the property in 2018 for $44.8 million. After the news broke,
Crestline Hotels & Resorts was named the new property manager.
Blackstone refi. Morgan Stanley and Société
Générale closed a $428.5 million refinance for a portfolio of 23 hotels owned
by Blackstone, according to the Commercial Observer. The two-year,
floating-rate loan features three one-year extension options and is being
securitized in the BX 2024-BRVE CMBS deal, sources said.
Nobu to Bulgaria. Nobu Hospitality is developing the Nobu
Hotel and Restaurant Sofia and Nobu Hotel and Restaurant Varna – both in
Bulgaria and owned by BSPF Bulgaria EAD and GHV-Dolphins EAD. No other details
about the projects are available.
Remington adds in Corpus Christi. Remington Hospitality,
today with 134 hotels across 33 brands, has unveiled the rebranding and full
renovation of the 236-room Holiday Inn Corpus Christi Airport & Conference
Center, as the company assumes management of the property. This venture
signifies Remington's inaugural partnership with Domus Holdings, LLC, and its
debut in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Sevilla property trades. Paris-based hospitality PE firm
Extendam has acquired the 140-room Hilton Garden Inn Sevilla in Spain from
Aliseda Inmobiliaria, an entity controlled by funds from Blackstone. The hotel
will be operated by Continuum Hospitality Group, marking the seventh joint
operation between the owner and operator.
