Four
Seasons adding in Charleston. Four Seasons is partnering with Tampa, Florida-based
Strategic Property Partners for a new luxury hotel and private residences in
Charleston, South Carolina. Featuring 139 guest rooms and 36 branded
residences, the upcoming Four Seasons Hotel and Residences Charleston will be
located in the city’s historic district and is scheduled to be completed in
2028.
Choice
international growth. Choice Hotels International continues to expand its international footprint,
with 31 hotels and more than 3,300 rooms on-boarded in 2025 and over 11,000
rooms added to the pipeline over the same period, resulting in a net pipeline
increase of 95% since the beginning of the year. This growth is largely fueled
by the company’s gains in the upscale and upper-upscale segment, which
encompasses hotel brand debuts in new markets across Canada, the Caribbean,
Latin America, Europe, China and Australia. These developments include recent
Radisson Blu and Cambria signings in Argentina and Canada, respectively, and
the company’s latest announcement to significantly expand in the Chinese market
through a new long-term distribution and master franchise agreement with SSAW
Hotels & Resorts.
Miraval
launching residences in KSA. Miraval Resorts & Spas is partnering with Red Sea Global
to launch Miraval The Red Sea Residences. The collection of 20 beach villas is
scheduled to launch in late 2025 and the residences will debut alongside the
Miraval The Red Sea, the brand’s first full-service, adults-only resort outside
of the United States.
McKibbon
adds in Savannah. Tampa, Florida-based McKibbon Hospitality will manage the Tempo by Hilton
Savannah Historic District, which is scheduled to open later this year. The
property is the company’s second managed Tempo by Hilton hotel.
IHG adds
in Poland. IHG
Hotels & Resorts has signed Crowne Plaza Katowice in Poland, alongside the
landlord, Katowice, Poland-based DL Invest, and tenant and franchisee,
Budapest, Hungary-based Hotel & More. The 178-key hotel is expected to open
in 2026 and will become Poland’s second Crowne Plaza property, joining the
Crowne Plaza Warsaw - The HUB. The hotel will join a rapidly growing portfolio
of 90 open Crowne Plaza hotels in Europe, with a further 17 in development.
IKEA
hotel. Delft,
Netherland-based IKEA, known for its affordable furniture and famous meatballs,
has opened its first hotel in the Canary Islands. The Las Dunas de Santa
Catalina Boutique House is situated on Gran Canaria, and the rooms feature blue
and yellow cushions and bedspreads, providing a subtle nod to IKEA’s
distinctive logo.
Capital
Bay acquires in Perth. Australia-based Capital Bay Investment Pty Ltd. has acquired The Sebel
West Perth Aire Apartments in Australia from Singapore-based ZACD Group Ltd.
for AUD18.8 million. Capital Bay has retained the Sebel brand, continuing its
affiliation with Accor. Completed in 2018, the property comprises 64
strata-titled studio apartments.
London
hotel sells. Yoomata
Aldgate Property, a joint venture between French real estate firms Euragone
Investment Management and Mata Capital, has acquired the 180-key Corner London
City Hotel, UK, along with a plot of undeveloped land, from British real estate
investment trust Great Portland Estates for £42 million, according to HVS.
