More World Cup forecasts. R.W. Baird is forecasting that the
World Cup will bring a 75-100 bps boost to U.S. RevPAR growth in 2026E. it is
basing its analysis on Super Bowl performances. The high-end of its forecast
reflects more robust inbound international travel demand and favorable matches
(i.e., larger countries) in the later rounds and finals. It estimates the World
Cup matches will be the equivalent of 20-plus Super Bowls. The initial matchup and schedules were done on Friday and includes the U.S. team against
Paraguay on June 12 at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. Mexico will kick
off the tournament a day earlier in Mexico City against South Africa. Canada
will open in Toronto on June 12 against Italy. The United States’ other group
games will bet in Seattle against Australia on June 19 and against the UEFA
playoff winner back at Sofi Stadium on June 25.
Barrière rebrands. Paris-based Barrière Hotels is repositioning
to Barrière Collection with four sub-brands: Signature, Heritage, Address and
Premium. Signature Collection is embodied by Fouquet's with ultra-luxury
in exclusive locations; Heritage Collection connects to Hôtel Barrière with
iconic places and historical heritage; Address Collection connects with
the last-born Maison Barrière, known for reinvented intimacy and exclusivity;
and Premium Collection is connected to Barrière with high-end leisure and
business hotels. The Barrière group comprises 32 casinos, one gaming club and
20 hotels in 37 destinations. It also has more than 150 restaurants and bars,
including the famous Fouquet's on the Champs-Elysées.
Curio Collection to London. Hilton is adding to its Curio
Collection in the U.K. by signing with Shiva Hotels for The BoTree London, Curio
Collection by Hilton, in the heart of Marylebone. The 200-room BoTree originally
opened in 2023.
