InterCon in San Antonio progresses. IHG Hotels & Resorts and Scarlett Hotel Group have
started construction of the 391-room InterContinental San Antonio on the
celebrated San Antonio River Walk. Trailbreak Partners, a real estate
investment and development firm based in Denver, worked with SHG to secure the
$158 million in financing for the renovation. Construction is expected to be
complete by late 2024.
Accor grows residential. Accor has stated that by 2027 the company expects to have more than 150 branded residences in operation, an increase of more than 300%. Lifestyle developer Ennismore has 11 branded residences open and 26 under development, including Mondrian Residences Burleigh Heads in Gold Coast, Australia; and Maison Delano Residences, Seoul. In the luxury segment, flagship developments include The OWO Residences by Raffles in London with partners and owners Hinduja Group and Onex Holding; Raffles Residences Boston Back Bay; Fairmont Residences Century Plaza in Los Angeles; and Fairmont Residences Royal Palm Marrakech.
Homewood, GrubHub deal. Suites by Hilton has partnered with online and
mobile food-ordering and delivery platform GrubHub to bring off-premises dining
options to hotel guests at nearly properties across the U.S. Guests can use Grubhub
via geolocation and QR codes around the property that take them directly to the
Grubhub Marketplace. The hotel location and courier drop-off instructions will
automatically populate at checkout. Homewood Suites guests that affiliate with
their hotel will receive one free month of Grubhub+, Grubhub’s loyalty program
that provides diners access to unlimited $0 delivery on orders of $12 and more.
Linder joins Hyatt loyalty. Hyatt Hotels Corp. reported that as part of its strategic
collaboration with German hospitality company Lindner Hotels AG, Lindner Hotels & Resorts hotels are
joining World of Hyatt as part of the JdV by Hyatt collection and will become
fully bookable on hyatt.com throughout June 2023. The integration of the
Lindner portfolio adds 5,500 rooms to Hyatt’s lifestyle portfolio.
