Kimpton adds
in Arizona. Kimpton, part of IHG’s luxury and lifestyle portfolio, has signed the 400-plus key Kimpton Miralina Resort & Villas in Paradise Valley, Arizona, which will become the first branded IHG luxury and lifestyle property in the Paradise Valley/Scottsdale
market upon its planned early 2026 opening. The resort will operate under the joint ownership of private investment firms
Partners Group and Trinity Investments, which acquired The Scottsdale Plaza Resort & Villas last year. This property marks the first IHG branded property within each group’s luxury and resort portfolios. Highgate will manage the hotel. The project
is a reimagination of an existing 42-acre retreat. It is the brand’s second Arizona property (joining Kimpton Hotel Palomar in Phoenix) and will add to the brand’s roster of nearly 150 open and in its pipeline.
DC hotel sells. Washington, D.C.-based Friedman Capital 153-key Capitol Hill Hotel in Washington, D.C. from San Francisco-based TPG Real Estate Partners for $60 million, according to the Washington Business Journal. TPG acquired the hotel in 2021 for $37.7
million while the hotel’s 2026 assessed value is about $41.7 million.
London
hotel sells. DoubleTree by Hilton Docklands Hotel, London has been acquired by Berlin, Germany-based A&O Hostels from an undisclosed seller for an undisclosed amount. A&O Hostels is backed by StepStone and Proprium Real Estate Partners. Newmark advised
the seller in the off-market sale. The 378-key hotel sits on the River Thames directly opposite Canary Wharf in the Southwark district. The new owners plan to invest £21 million to transform the property into a modern hostel.
Peachtree names new EVP. Atlanta-based Peachtree Group has named Lindsay Monge as executive vice president of asset management. Monge brings more than two decades of leadership experience in hospitality, real estate investment and operations to
Peachtree. Most recently, he served as president of Seaview Investors and before that he spent nearly 16 years at Sunstone Hotel Investors. He also worked at MagnaFlow, Alpha Wave, The Westgate Hotel and the Waldorf Astoria in New York.
