The 179-room property in Bozeman from Starwood Capital and
AJ Capital Partners is launching in May with a $289 introductory rate.
BOZEMAN, Montana – With outdoor-related lodging having its big
moment comes news that the first Field & Stream Lodge Co, property in
Bozeman, Montana, is taking reservations.
First launched in 2023 and founded by Starwood
Capital Group and AJ Capital Partners, the platform plans to open properties
nationally near national parks, beaches and ski towns. No additional deals have officially
been announced.

Bunk bed room with dedicated workspace and peg board storage
On the AJ Capital Partners website, it states Field & Stream
Lodge Co. is focused on rapid scalability with a flexible rollout targeting
both renovations and new construction. The limited-service model seeks to
provide economies of scale allowing a leaner operating model than traditional
hotels, resulting in higher flow-through and EBITDA margins.
Just after the brand launch in early 2023, Weprin said some
initial hotels will be in the 160-room range with target markets including South
Lake Tahoe, Nevada; Joshua Tree in California; Colorado Springs, Durango and
Steamboat Springs in Colorado; Traverse City, Michigan; and the Bozeman site
near Yellowstone National Park.

The 29,000-square-foot backyard
At the same time, Starwood Capital’s SH Hotel & Resorts
was supposed to manage the properties, according to Weprin, who added there was
potential to do third-party, management deals and franchises along the way.
With stays beginning in May 2025 and being marketed with an introductory
rate starting at $289, Field & Stream Bozeman blends the traditions of hunting
and fishing lodges with modern amenities. It is being marketed to act as a basecamp
for surrounding outdoor adventure opportunities, including Yellowstone National
Park.
With 179 rooms and suites—ranging from Mountain Kings and
Bunk Rooms to Camper Connecting Suites—each room at Field & Stream Bozeman features
a dedicated workspace, peg board storage, mini fridge, and wool camp blankets,
with select accommodations including a sleeper sofa.

Elevated view of the exterior
Throughout the lodge, interiors combine vintage and
custom-upholstered furnishings with locally inspired décor and ephemera
influenced by the Field & Stream archives. At the heart of the lodge is The
Great Room, a gathering space anchored by a tall stone fireplace, communal
seating, board games, and historic Bozeman décor—all beneath a vintage canoe
suspended from the ceiling.
An indoor pool and hot tub is surrounded by Adirondak
chairs, plaid-adorned loungers, and decorative snowshoe pendants surround a
nostalgic Bridger Bowl mural that celebrates local heritage. The property also
features an outdoor hot tub.

The 29,000-square-foot backyard offers a landscaped
courtyard with canoe-shaped fire pits, live log seating, and tent-like canvas
umbrellas. For groups and events, the lodge provides a variety of offerings
from 3,800 square feet of private meeting space to full property buyouts. The
Supply Shop offers sundries, souvenirs, and outdoor essentials.
