Edition to Dallas. Kaizen Development Partners announced that Marriott’s
Edition brand has been selected for its $650 million mixed-used development
project in Dallas. The 214-room Dallas Edition hotel and 60-unit The Residences
at The Dallas Edition will be the luxury flag’s first Texas location. Another
22-story tower in the development will feature 400,000 square feet of Class AA
office space. Retail, food and beverage offerings will be spread across the two
buildings. Pricing for the condo units reportedly starts at $1.5 million for
one-bedroom units and range up to $20 million.
Auberge to Steamboat. Stockman Development LLC, led by Marquee Development is
developing The Stockman, Auberge Collection in Steamboat Springs, Colorado,
with a 59-room hotel and 95 private residences expected to open in 2030. Breaking
ground on a nine-story building this year, the property will offer ski-in,
ski-out access as well as Wellbeing by Auberge with a full-service spa and
pool. Residential sales will launch in spring 2026.
Extended-stay demand surge. The highest monthly demand
growth in almost four years lifted U.S. extended-stay hotel RevPAR and
occupancy to positive change for the first time in 11 and 14 months
respectively. February marked a four-month trend of accelerating extended-stay
demand growth which, if continued, should lead to stronger RevPAR gains during
the foreseeable future. “Economy extended-stay hotel RevPAR declined again in
February, but the fall was less than all economy class hotels reported and
recent trends indicate it should turn positive in the next one to two months,”
said The Highland Group Partner Mark Skinner.
Financing for Dallas Renaissance. 3H Group, Inc and Dallas Lodging Associates, LLC received
financing from Western Alliance Bank for the 337-room Renaissance Dallas North.
JLL arranged a floating-rate, five-year loan. The owners acquired the hotel in July 2025 and plan to
invest into a comprehensive renovation program targeting guestrooms, food and
beverage outlets and meeting spaces. The transformation is designed to
recapture the property's strong pre-pandemic performance and rebuild its group
travel segment.
Aspen Hotels expands in Alaska. Anchorage-based Aspen Hotels has announced the acquisition
and full renovation of three former Extended Stay America properties, the
alignment of additional independent hotels under the Aspen Hotels brand, and
the development of a new guest rewards program scheduled to launch later this
spring. Aspen Hotels now operates the largest hotel portfolio in the state by
location, with 16 properties spanning nearly a dozen Alaska communities and
1,428 rooms statewide, representing a 168% increase in capacity. JL Hospitality
Management will operate the properties.
Daytona development adds Trademark. Daytona Beach, Florida, boutique hotel, the Ambros Daytona,
has joined Wyndham Hotels & Resorts’ Trademark Collection. The 50-room
hotel, opened in January 2026, was redeveloped by entrepreneurs Louis Caiola,
Graham Jones, and Gregory Jones.
G6 upgrades procurement. G6 Hospitality, the parent company of Motel 6 and Studio 6,
has launched the G6 Marketplace, an enterprise-grade procurement platform
designed to simplify supply chain operations across its franchise network. The
launch forms part of G6 Hospitality’s broader transformation agenda, alongside
recent investments in marketing, digital guest platforms, and enterprise
technology capabilities.
