Among
the noteworthy deals of the past week was AJ Capital Partners’ acquisition of
multiple properties to expand its Marine & Lawn Hotels & Resorts
portfolio.
INTERNATIONAL
REPORT — Nashville-based AJ Capital Partners has expanded its Marine & Lawn
Hotels & Resorts portfolio to eight properties with the acquisition of the
Greywalls Hotel, a historic estate bordering the famed Muirfield Golf Course in
Scotland, as well as the Mid Pines Inn and Pine Needles Lodge that sit beside
golf courses in the Pinehurst region of North Carolina.
No details
about the deals were disclosed, but The Pilot in Southern Pines, North
Carolina, reported that property records for the land on which Pine Needles
Lodge sits sold for $6.88 million and for the land on which Mid Pines sits sold
for $5.16 million.
AJ Capital
acquired Greywalls Hotel in Gullane, Scotland, from the Weaver family, which
has owned the property since 1926. Through a relationship with The Honorable
Company of Edinburgh Golfers, guests of Greywalls will receive access to
Muirfield, one of the world’s most exclusive and revered golf courses.
Marine &
Lawn’s in-house design team will lead a restoration of Greywalls, while the
hotels in North Carolina will also undergo comprehensive restorations led by AJ
Capital’s design team.
