City buys 2 near Disneyland. Provo, Utah-based Dynamic City Capital has acquired two Marriott hotels near Disneyland in California from Newport Beach, California-based T2 Hospitality for $303 million. The $647,000 per room price for the 174-key SpringHill
Suites and the 294-key Residence Inn is a significant premium over the roughly $350,000 per room average sales price for Orange County hotels in 2024, according to the Orange County Business Journal.
CBG
developing dual-branded in San Antonio. San Antonio-based CBG Real Estate is developing a dual-branded 165-key La Quinta and Hawthorn Extended Stay by Wyndham hotel in San Antonio’s northeast corridor in Texas. The project is a redevelopment of an
existing hotel and is scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2025.
Sage converts
New Orleans hotel. Denver-based Sage Hospitality Group has partnered with Melville Holdings to reopen the 97-key Hotel De La Poste – French Quarter, A Renaissance Hotel. The property, previously known as the W New Orleans – French Quarter, underwent
a multi-million renovation in 2024. Sage will manage the hotel and restaurant. This transition marks a homecoming for Sage and CEO Walter Isenberg, who managed the property as the Hotel de La Poste from 1989 through 1997.
Auro
acquires in South Carolina. Greenville, South Carolina-based Auro Hotels paid $31.3 million for a Greenville office building that could be converted into a hotel. The building is the former headquarters of paper and pulp manufacturer Bowater. The
seller was Greenville-based Centennial American Properties, which was represented by CBRE. Auro Hotel operates hotels under several brands and recently acquired the Courtyard Orlando Airport hotel in Florida for $26 million.
Whitbread
adds in Belfast. Whitbread is developing a new 81-key Premier Inn hotel at Belfast International Airport in Northern Ireland. Whitbread signed an agreement-for-lease with Armagh, U.K.-based JHT Hotels Ltd., a subsidiary of Northern Ireland developer
J H Turkington and Sons. The hotel is scheduled to open in 2026. Whitbread currently has 855 hotels in the U.K. and Ireland.
IHCL adds
in Dehradun. Indian Hotels Co. Ltd. (IHCL) has partnered with Dehradun, India-based Classic Motels, to convert a hotel in Dehradun into a Gateway hotel. The 100-key Gateway Dehradun will be the 17th IHCL hotel in Uttarakhand, including 7 under development.
