CitizenM exploring sale. The owners of
Netherlands-based boutique hotel chain CitizenM are working with bankers to
explore options for the company, including a potential sale, according to a
report in the Financial Times. CitizenM’s owners, which include Dutch pension
provider APG, Singaporean wealth fund GIC and founder Rattan Chadha, are being
advised by Morgan Stanley and Eastdil Secured, according to people familiar
with the matter. GIC took a 25% stake in the company five years ago in a deal
that valued CitizenM at €2 billion, including debt. The report said the
company’s value has increased and could now be worth roughly €4 billion ($4.327
billion). The report said deliberations were early, the owners were also
exploring selling a minority stake, and no final decision had been made.

Asia.
