DoveHill
acquires in Maine. Fort Lauderdale, Florida-based DoveHill has acquired the White Barn Inn in
Kennebunk, Maine, from an undisclosed seller for an undisclosed amount. An icon
of New England hospitality since the 1970s, White Barn Inn is part of the
Auberge Resorts Collection. The Auberge Resorts Collection will continue to
manage the hotel.
Dreamscape
adds in Michigan. Dallas-based Dreamscape Hospitality has added the 85-key St. Clair Inn in
Michigan to its management portfolio. Located in the town of St. Clair, about
52 miles northeast of Detroit, the property is set to undergo renovations and
will join the Tribute Portfolio by Marriott.
Experiential platform
partners with Hyatt. Austin, Texas-based experiential platform Way is collaborating with Hyatt Hotels Corp. to
integrate the platform into Hyatt’s digital ecosystem, which will enable
end-to-end merchandising and marketing of thousands of bespoke offerings and
experiences throughout Hyatt’s guest journey. The first-of-its-kind launch
allows World of Hyatt members to earn and redeem points on ancillary offerings
and experiences booked through individual Hyatt hotel websites.
Meliá’s
first luxury hotel in Peru. Palma, Spain-based Meliá Hotels International is opening its first
luxury hotel in Peru. The Meliá Collection Lima will start welcoming guests in
July 2026 and is located in the historic Casa de la Pila site. Opening in two
phases, the hotel will open 61 rooms to guests in 2026, with the second phase
of opening in July 2027 to expand its tally to 107 rooms.
Hilton
adds in Hyderabad. Hilton is partnering with Shree Venkateshwara Hotels and Convention to open the
304-key Hilton Hyderabad Gachibowli in Hyderabad, India. This marks the second
Hilton property in Hyderabad.
STR
concentration declines in Spain. The territorial distribution of short-term rentals (STRs)
properties per inhabited square kilometer in Spain decreased by -0.2% over the
past year, falling from an average of 6.8 to 6.6 properties per km, according
to Mabrian Data Intelligence. Notable decreases are observed in Alicante, Santa
Cruz de Tenerife, and Pontevedra, while increases occur in Malaga, Seville, and
Girona. Mabrian’s study reveals that, since August 2024, Alicante (-1.2%),
Santa Cruz de Tenerife, and Pontevedra (-0.8% in both cases) are the provinces
that have the most significant reduction in STR territorial concentration per
square kilometer.
Aleph
adds in Makkah. Dubai-based Aleph Hospitality has signed a hotel management agreement with
Makkah, Saudi Arabia-based Diyar Al Khalidiyah Hotel Services Co. for the
338-key Diyar Al Khalidiya hotel in Makkah. Aleph Hospitality is currently in
negotiations with hotel brands to secure international branding for the hotel.
Hilton
adds Canopy in the Philippines. Hilton and Manila, Philippines-based Ayala Land
Hospitality have signed a deal for the Canopy by Hilton Makati, set to open
in 2026. The property will be the first Canopy by Hilton in the Philippines.
