Latest news: Columbia adds in Seattle; Dreamscape to Santa Monica; IHG signs 4 in UK

Columbia adds in Seattle. Seattle-based Columbia Hospitality has added the Hotel 1000 in Seattle to its management portfolio. The hotel is joining Hyatt’s Unbound Collection. This is Columbia’s second hotel in downtown Seattle. The hotel recently averted a scheduled February foreclosure auction when it was acquired by Bell, California-based Envision Hotel Partners, which effectively assumed an old $40 million loan from Varde Partners.

Dreamscape adds in California. Dallas-based Dreamscape Hospitality has assumed management of the 84-key The Georgian Hotel in Santa Monica, California. The hotel is owned by Los Angeles-based JB Hotel Group and is in the process of joining a Hyatt soft brand.

IHG signs 4 in UK. IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed an agreement with U.K.-based Fairview Hotels to open four across the U.K., including voco London – Bloomsbury, Garner Hotel Lincoln, Garner Hotel Rotherham East and Garner Hotel Chesterfield North. The latest properties add over 380 rooms to IHG’s UK&I pipeline, strengthening its footprint in Europe's largest market. The hotels include the 114-key voco London – Bloomsbury, which is expected to be fully rebranded and will open under the voco brand in mid-2026; the 91-key Garner Hotel Rotherham East, which opened in January; the 91-key Garner Hotel Lincoln which is scheduled to open in February and the 91-key Garner Hotel Chesterfield North, which is also scheduled to open in February.

Delano partners with Paris Society. The Delano Miami Beach has partnered with Paris Society to bring the culinary concepts of Gigi Rigolatto and Mimi Kakushi to the United States. Set to open in preview in late March 2026, Delano Miami Beach will introduce the culinary concepts within the property – bringing the Alla Grande state of mind of Gigi Rigolatto to one restaurant and the 1920s Osaka-inspired Japanese flavors of Mimi Kakushi to another.

New CEO at Kayak. Norwalk, Connecticut-based Booking Holdings has named Peer Bueller as CEO of Kayak. Bueller joined Kayak in 2016 as CFO and added the COO title in 201. After 22 years as co-founder and CEO of Kayak, Steve Hafner will become executive chair of the company.

Vignette milestone in China. IHG Hotels & Resorts said its Vignette Collection has reached the milestone of 10 open hotels in Greater China, marking the continued growth of the group’s luxury and lifestyle portfolio across the region. Since its global launch in 2021 and entry into Greater China in 2023, Vignette Collection has steadily expanded across major cities and lifestyle destinations.  

Hilton’s largest DoubleTree in India. Hilton is partnering with Dangayach Group to open the 304-key DoubleTree by Hilton Bengaluru Airport, the brand’s largest hotel in India. The opening joins seven Hilton hotels operating in Bengaluru and solidifies Hilton’s multi-brand presence in the city, from luxury, full-service and focused-service offerings. Hilton’s portfolio includes almost 100 trading and pipeline hotels across South Asia, including 23 DoubleTree hotels.
