The eight-year veteran of the management company said he is ready to move on to bigger things.

PLANO, Texas – Remington Hospitality CEO Sloan Dean is
leaving the organization, he told Hotel Investment Today. Dean said he is
staying on until a successor is hired, likely not later than October.
Dean said it is time to move on and plans to do “bigger and
better things” in the hotel business. “I’m ready for the next thing. I’m going
to take some time off before moving into my next adventure.”
He said the decision was made about a month ago and the
corporate team was told last week.
Dean joined Remington in 2018 and was with Ashford for five
years prior, serving as senior vice president of Underwriting and Revenue
Optimization before making the jump. Prior to Ashford, Dean held several senior
positions with Interstate Hotels, Alliance Hospitality, Noble Investment Group,
IHG and Oliver Wyman.
He said he is most proud of the people and team around him. “We
were a small affiliate of Ashford and grew to 130 hotels. We transformed the
leadership and team, and this creates opportunities for them, as well,” Dean
said.
Remington Hospitality released a statement on Thursday morning:
“We are deeply grateful for Sloan Dean’s leadership over the past
eight years as CEO of Remington Hospitality. Under his guidance, Remington
transformed into a values-driven organization and a leading force in
third-party hotel management. His focus on people, performance, and purpose
helped shape a culture where passionate people thrive — a legacy that will
remain the foundation of who we are.
“As we embark on the search for our next CEO, we remain committed
to the principles that have driven our growth and confident in the path ahead.
We thank Sloan for the impact he has made on Remington and wish him continued
success in his next chapter.”
