$175M
loan to deflag hotels. Sarasota, Florida-based Kapstones has closed a $175 million loan that is
secured by a portfolio of five hotels the company owns across Florida and
Texas. The loan refinances the debt on the hotels and is designed to support
future hotel acquisitions while also providing capital to reinvest in and
reposition assets within the firm's current portfolio. Kapstones plans to
transition the five properties from third-party flags and reintroduce them
under its Kompose and Kozy brands, with the goal of enhancing operating
performance and long-term revenue potential. Centennial Bank provided the
financing.
Domes
acquires Casa Collective. Athens-based Domes Resorts has acquired Goldman Sachs’ majority stake in
London-based Casa Collective for an undisclosed amount. Casa Collective
currently operates a portfolio of 13 hotels and is the hospitality platform
behind the Cook’s Club and Casa Cook brands. Casa Cook has five hotels and
resorts, one in Italy, two in Egypt and two in Greece, while Casa Cook has six
properties, one in Egypt, another in Turkey and four in Greece. According to
the release, four hotels will be added to the Casa Collective portfolio, and
the two brands will continue to be operated independently. Domes has 21 hotels
in Greece, Portugal and Spain.
Coury
adds in Cleveland. Dallas-based Coury Hospitality has added the 491-key Hotel Cleveland, Autograph
Collection in Ohio to its management portfolio. Toronto-based Skyline
Investments has owned the hotel since 2015. This will be the 13th Autograph
Collection in Coury’s portfolio. Following a $90 million renovation, the hotel
reopened in 2024.
Dovehill
acquires in Connecticut. Fort Lauderdale, Florida-based DoveHill has acquired the 35-key
Mayflower Inn & Spa, Auberge Collection in Washington, Connecticut. It is
located on 58 acres in Litchfield County. Auberge Collection will continue to
manage the property.
Nikki
Beach adds in Marrakech. Miami Beach, Florida-based Nikki Beach Hospitality Group is developing
the 100-plus-key Nikki Beach Resort & Spa Marrakech, scheduled to open in
2028.
Red Roof adds more women owners. Red Roof has added more than 40 women and
underserved-market representatives to its ownership community since launching
RIDE with Red Roof and rebranding SHE in July 2023. RIDE accepted six new
owners from underrepresented markets in 2025. RIDE supports new owners by
providing resources to aspiring franchisees, while SHE supports women in
hospitality through personal and professional development.
