Among
the noteworthy deals of the past week is Haymarket House in London, which was
sold to Criterion Capital by JV partners CPPIB and Hermes Real Estate
Investment Management Ltd. for around £135 million.
San Francisco-based Criterion Capital has purchased the
Haymarket House in Soho, London, for around £135 million. The property was sold
by a joint venture of the Toronto-based Canada Pension Plan Investment Board
(CPPIB) and London-based Hermes Real Estate Investment Management Ltd.
The site has a restaurant and comedy club on the ground
floor. Criterion expects to spend £400 million converting the upper floor
office space into a hotel and affordable housing.
