Among
the noteworthy deals of the past week was SLTX Capital’s acquisition of the
Houston Marriott Energy Corridor.
HOUSTON —
Sugarland, Texas-based SLTX Capital has acquired the 206-key Houston Marriott
Energy Corridor in Texas from an affiliate of Apple Hospitality REIT, according
to the Houston Business Journal.
Apple
announced, as part of its first-quarter earnings, that it had sold the hotel
for $16 million and stated that the asset would be sold later in the year.
The hotel is
15 years old and has not undergone any renovations. The new owners plan to
reposition the asset in the important Energy Corridor submarket in Houston.
