INGLEWOOD,
California — San Francisco-based Chartres Lodging Group acquired the Lüm Hotel
from Los Angeles-based Shomof Group for $57 million.
The 179-key
hotel is adjacent to the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California, the new arena
for the NBA’s Los Angeles Clippers. It’s also across the street from Hollywood
Park (home to Sofi Stadium, where the NFL’s Los Angeles Rams and Chargers play,
YouTube Theater and 500,000 square feet of mixed-use space).
Chartres is
planning to reposition the asset, which the previous owner renovated, into a
lodging destination to serve the new sports and entertainment district.
Under the
Shomof Group’s ownership, the hotel added a new gym, pool and restaurant.
