New deal with booking platform aims to further grow
ancillary revenue opportunities for owners.
Hilton is succeeding with and expanding a classic way to
grow ancillary revenue – day passes.
In fact, it just announced a partnership with booking
platform ResortPass to drive day pass traffic to Hilton properties across the
Americas, giving daytrippers access to amenities and perks at a collection of
beach resorts and urban getaways.
A Hilton spokesperson told Hotel Investment Today that
there are currently more than 175 hotels working with ResortPass and anticipate
that number to increase significantly as evidenced by a 30% increase in day
pass bookings in Q1 2024.
“We have already seen an increase of 30% in bookings in
2024 as we create awareness, new access and deliver exceptional opportunities
for local guests and visitors,” the Hilton spokesperson said. “We anticipate
this upward trajectory to continue.”
Access to resort amenities through ResortPass is a
commission-based model with day pass prices for guests ranging from $15 to
$150-plus ($50 to $600-plus for cabanas).
Examples of day pass packages complete with Hilton’s
signature hospitality include:
Conrad Los Angeles offers more than 10 different day pass
packages, from rooftop pool access to a multitude of spa experiences
highlighting private recovery cabins, high-tech wellness therapies such as
quantum harmonic therapy.
Day passes for up to 10 people at Hilton Waikoloa Village in
Hawaii include a private cabana and refreshments such as cocktails, popsicles
and facial spritzers. Additionally, a “Full Moon Vino and Vinyasa” package
provides access to the onsite vinyasa yoga class and a complimentary glass of
wine or beer.
In South Florida, day guests have access to The Diplomat
Beach Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton’s pool, watersports, Kids’ Day Camp
and fitness center. Visitors will also have the option to add a casita
reservation with food and beverage service, beach daybeds, Tommy Bahama lounge
chairs and more.
