Wyndham’s president for CALA talks about their
hottest development markets and address all too familiar challenges surrounding
growth.
CORAL GABLES, Florida – Wyndham’s president for the
Caribbean and Latin America has built a strong pipeline over the past three
years, particularly in Brazil, Mexico and the Dominican Republic.
Wyndham’s regional footprint today stands some 44,000 rooms
open and another 19,000 in the pipeline, primarily conversions, with 60% of the
pipeline in the aforementioned three markets.
The D.R. has a mix of resorts and emerging business hotels
in secondary cities; Brazil has 20 resorts under construction; and Mexico has a
strong mix of both business and leisure hotel development, according to
