ALIS set to open in Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES – Americas Lodging Investment Summit (ALIS) hotel week starts Monday, January 27, when ALIS Law kicks off with a focus on the “day after” the deal closes and the many legal issues owners and operators face.

The main event, ALIS, takes over on the afternoon of January 28 at the JW Marriott/Ritz-Carlton Los Angeles L.A. LIVE.

Going on its 24th year, ALIS will feature over 40 sessions and panels led by 180-plus industry leaders across all sectors of the hotel investment and tourism industries as they look ahead to the future and what evolution is on the horizon.

Among the highlights are multiple “Boardroom Outlook” sessions, including a CEO panel that includes Geoff Ballotti, president and CEO, Wyndham Hotel & Resorts; Anthony Capuano, president and CEO, Marriott International; Elie Maalouf, CEO, IHG Hotels & Resorts; Jean-Jacques Morin, Deputy CEO, Accor; Chris Nassetta, president and CEO, Hilton; and Craig Smith, CEO, Aimbridge.

There will be multiple “Meet the Future” sessions featuring the views of next-generation leaders. ALIS awards programs will include Deals of the Year, the Arne Sorenson Social Impact Leadership Award, the Lifetime Achievement Award and the ISHC Pioneer Award.

On Thursday afternoon, January 30, ALIS DESIGN+, custom-built as a brand extension of ALIS, will present a two-day forum where thought leaders who own, invest in, develop, design, build, procure for, supply, operate and consult on hotels come together to explore—and evolve—best-practice solutions for maximizing creativity and the bottom line.

As part of the ALIS program, the 8th Annual Shatterproof Hospitality Heroes Reception will take place on January 29 during the conference. The event will honor Shatterproof supporter and industry leader Amanda Hite, president and CEO of STR, and recognize the hospitality companies that support its mission dedicated to reversing the addiction crisis in the United States.
