— Both the Fairmont and Raffles brands have been elevated in visibility in the
past few years by Accor, according to Omer Acar, CEO for the Fairmont and
Raffles brands. That has been a conscious choice.
“We just
improved the visibility more by just investing in different regions of the
world,” he said. “What we try to do is make sure we have flags fairly
distributed around the globe. And me moving to New York and taking the lead for
Raffles and Fairmont was also a good step towards that because we obviously
want to continue growing in the U.S., Canada and South America… and that
visibility comes with delivering to our owners results and commitment that we
promised.”
