Resolute Road Hospitality comes to market with 15 assets owned by its parent company and wants to expand beyond limited-service.
With consolidation creating more big players in the third-party management space, 52-year industry veteran Eric Danziger sees an opportunity to fill an emerging gap for owners looking for more personal service and has launched Resolute Road Hospitality, a new division of Boise, Idaho-based commercial and residential developer and operator Braintree Group. Resolute Road will come to market with 15 hotels owned and operated branded limited-service hotels (1,732 rooms) and has three Braintree owned properties under development that under will soon join the Resolute system.
Rebranded from Braintree Hospitality, Danziger, who joined last year after leaving Trump Hotels and never one to think small, said there is no edict to grow exponentially but can eventually see Resolute acquiring smaller management companies.
Growth will likely continue to come from the limited-service sector, but Danziger said he also expects Resolute Road to branch out into full-service and other segments. “We are good managers and have owners’ sensitivities and should be able to bring that to the marketplace,” he added.
With a tagline that states “driven by a promise,” CEO Danziger told Hotel Investment Today that Resolute won’t operate as a traditional “fee for service” company, perhaps look at more incentive-based deals and look at each deal individually with a willingness to offer key money where needed. Having spent years with an owners’ perspective under Braintree, Danziger said Resolute wants to drive property-level results by making commitments to owners to be aggressive and hungry on the customer acquisition side. “Go out there and get the business,” he added.
The leadership team also includes Gary Horton, president; Daniel Pinheiro, chief business development officer; Kristen Knapp, chief investment officer; and Aimee Tylor, director of operations. In addition, Kevin O'Neil and Richard Sprecher recently joined the team as vice presidents of business development to expand the existing pipeline.
